Stainless steel ball valves have been steadily growing in popularity in Australia over the last decade. They have become more cost effective and the material presents good corrosion resistance, strength and fabrication characteristics. Zetco Valves has selected the 316 stainless steel for their valves, due to the greater resistance to corrosion, pitting, creep and oxidizing fluids, when compared with 304 stainless steel.
Typical applications for stainless steel ball valves include high pressure, high temperature, water distribution, cryogenics and food industries. Reference markets include mining, petroleum production and distribution, remote installations, compressed air and water treatment.
Zetco Valves has an extensive range of stainless steel valves in a variety of configurations, produced by ISO 9001 certified manufacturers. The range includes 1-, 2- and 3-piece valves, available in female to female, male to female and flanged connections. Common threaded connections are based on the ISO 7/1 standard (BSP) but also the ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 (NPT) connections available on request.
